Problem switching 05 rom to 96530706 or 94170705

So went to switch my buddys 05 to V7 yesterday and it flashed sucessfully however for some reason it is maxing out the STFT (-25) and is acting very strange. Just to get it to idle I have the biss almost bottomed out. This is the same exact map I run on my car except with his fuel, timing, injector info, and lean spool enabled.

Okay no biggie I think, I will try the 0715 version... same exact thing! I am at a loss as to why his car is pegging the fuel trims. He has stock injectors...

Tried swapping the front O2 with no luck either...

I can flash the 05 rom back on the car and it runs fine... any ideas?

Has the MAF been scaled in any manner ?

Did the "Closed loop LT trim control" get messed with ?

Did you remember to change the "Start IPW Latency mcsec" to match the 14.07v voltage latency ?

Maf scaling was stock on both roms
Closed loop LT trim control changed to match 05 rom ( he is on stock cams idling at 37 hz)
Startup IPW matches 14v latncey...
Open loop load and throttle changed to match 05 rom so it won't change the tune...

Have you tried a completely stock V7 rom flash?

Why run 94170705 on a 05? 96530706 works perfectly fine on 05's.

I'm curious why..

9653 only "works perfectly fine" after doing a half dozen "hack" to make it do so.

Whats up with all your 9417 hate? Im curious why...

Bryan that is what I am saying, I tried the 96530706 and the fuel trims maxed out to -25 and the car wouldn't idle... that is the only reason I that I tried the 0715... that rom has the same effect on the car also.

I just don't understand why it is maxing the fuel trims out, my only guess is the TIAL 50mm VTA which may have to heavy of a spring in it, the BOV will open and close at idle when the BISS is anything above 1 turn from the bottom, hunting for idle like it has a bad TPS/IAC. TPS is good, and the IAC works fine also.

But you say that on the stock rom....it works just fine with it's current setup?

Why would it matter which flash version you are using?

There has to be something tuned in the stock rom that was not applied to the new flash.

Go table by table until you find it. My guess would be a periphery change.

Make sure the peripherys all look like 9417 stock settings if you try to run v7 9417.

are you resetting the battery between flashes? what do the ltft's look like. this is assuming all 8's dont have trims reset when flashed.
