Just keep it out of the 12's in boost. Unless running an alcohol inj. kit or something of the sort.

pretty vague.... so 9.5:1 is fine?

to the OP read the links above but a gerneral rule is 12.5 during spoolup to peak load/boost the imidiately to mid 11's i go for 11.6 and then 11.4mid range taping to 11.3-10.8.. it all depends on what YOUR car links and what makes power with out raising up egt and causing excessive knock up to. I personally am @ 11.1-10.9 : 1 by redline.
12.5:1 would be the best but that way too lean for pump gas (causes too much heat)... good luck .

On pump gas, i always tune for 11.5:1 at peak VE, tapering down to 11.1:1-10.9:1 by about 6500rpm. This is a good conservative AFR that will produce good power and will not sacrifice reliability. For spool up, start at 13.0:1 up to about 12psi, then taper to 12.5:1 until about 15psi, then taper to 11.5:1 at Peak boost then keep tapering down to about 11:1 at 6500-7000rpm. Doing this, will allow for good spool up. If you run into a lot of knock at 13.0:1 on spool up under 12psi, and you cannot run enough ignition timing, lower that area to 12.5:1 or so and re-tune timing in that area until you reach knock, then back down 1-2*.
