My car is misfiring and just throwing an all out fit at 13psi. It hits that and then it sputters. I've eliminated spark plugs and wires. The next place I looked was the code.

(Using the same scaling "Coil Time" that Ceddy has defined in the DSM roms)

I think I see a problem. Am I understanding this correctly? It looks like I need to add some charge time when using the DSM coils.

I'm just looking for a confirmation from someone who knows more on this than I do.

Alright. I'll keep looking for the real problem then.

 

I was running about 31psi, plugs gapped at .025 on my 2G with an Evo 8 ECU. No spark issues at all ever. It sounds like you may have a bad coil.

 

I'm thinking that may be the case too.

I've run 23psi before, that's what has me wondering what's up.
