I am using v2.7 beta5 with the 1.3 cable. I think it might be a driver issue because I am pretty sure I was using 2.6 without issue at one point.

just went for a 5mph jaunt around the parking lot, evoscan said I was cruising at 10mph...

Head over to the NTEC forums here on EvoM. There are a lot of local guys around here with experience with EvoScan, etc. I'm sure someone will be able to figure it out.
