What's the minimum amount of logs per second that's safe?

If I log on my computer I get about 10 log entries a second. If I use my evoscan gps unit, I get about 3-4 per second. What's the fewest entries it's actually safe to tune with?

I know this is because of a difference in processor power and that disabling more things would help but I've basically disabled as much as I feel is safe.

i noticed that when playing with friends evoscan pda. 2/3 lines per sec... i honestly think that is not enough resolution. maybe good to keep an eye on but definately not enough to tune.

10lines is reasonable minimum for tuning.

Yeah, I didn't think it was enough either. I tried to do a log once and think I hit some sort of boost/fuel cut or something. But I never could find it in my logs. Keep trying to speed it up, but I'm not sure what else I can cut out of my logging to help. Or what the minimum would be that would pretty much keep me up to date with what's going on.

maybe just try and log timing with rpm, knock, and load. Then log fuel with rpm.... be more of a headache, but may also speed the logger up a bit, if you have no other logger.

Well, I have a laptop, but I bought the evoscan gps so that I could use it to log instead of lugging my laptop around everywhere, driving around with it open on my seat and so on. Also it seemed like it would work pretty well for gauges, and save me having to buy several and install them. It does work ok as the gauges, just doesn't look like it's particularly useful as the main logger for tuning.

Yeah, I've already turned that off, and set a couple of the items(the less important ones) to a lower priority. Still can't eak out more then 4 logs a second with the occasional 3 a second popping up.

I'm getting 11-13 entries per second when I'm logging with my laptop, as comparison.
