huh...... well, that's interesting. To me, it looks like it's mostly getting some knock starting around 6k. It looked a bit lean to me and probably a bit too much timing. And then when you hit the next gear, it got worse. And the next, it snowballed until it 14 counts. I think detonation is basically one of those things that's like an avalanche; once you get it, it gets worse the more you push it. Part of that is the extended time of high loads which brings the temp up on everything.

The ecu tried pulling timing, and then it reduced the 'octane flag' and started to try to run richer.

Your car is running 12* timing @ 6000 rpm AND you are 11.2-11.3:1. IMO, this is too much. Back of your timing by 2* from 6000 rpm on AND drop your AFR to 11.0:1 and see if your knock goes away.

I am assuming that you are running on 22-23 psi boost and using 93 octane gas.

Hi

I agree with this view as well. In the first logs you have posted you are running very lean. Get the AFRs down to the low 11s. And I would advise backing off the ignition quite away, you are running far to much for any more than 15 PSI boost.
