umm the knock you are seeing @ pq load/tq/boost maybe "too little timing" knock. raise it up. and see how it does. is it tune for pump gas? that may be a good start (timing wise) to start. leaning it out would also make it more knock resistant. richen up spool up a bit. and log fewer item nxt time so we can get more resolution in the logs (tps, rpm, load, boost, timing knock ,afr)

I've revised the fuel map...........i got to thinking it was pretty lean going into the spool....so i leaned everything out so I'm getting 13's on spool and 12.0's the rest of the way out. It took me about 90 minutes to go through the whole lug curve and make the adjustments.....

I used my handmade excel calculator for finding what the AFR map values needed to be changed to. It utilizes the following formula:

(Desired AFR*Logged AFRMAP)/Actual AFR

So if my desired was 12.0 AFR, my logged AFRMAP was 8.8, and my logged actual AFR was 11.4, I would come up with ~9.3 which is what would need to be entered into the AFR Map

Now my fuel map looks like so....

E85

I have richened up spool to 13's instead of the 14's they were at.....also I am really only logging the essentials. RPM, Timing, TPS, AFR, AFR Map, Trims, Wideband, JDMMAP, knocksum, IDC, and the 2byte loggers.

I'm going to run this next iteration of my HEX file and see how the AFR's turn out, and then I will post my logs later tonight

The expression for "AFR MAP" isn't (14.7*128)/x by any chance is it??? If so, you're reading the calculated AFR, not the measured AFR.

You should be logging "external wideband A/F ratio" and the expression should just be "x"

I am logging external wideband AF.....

However, you need to know the logged AFR map, in order to accurately know, and calculate, what that cell needs to be modified to, in order to achieve targe 'external wideband AF'

See post above (#20) for some details on the calculation

Ok. Or you could just use maptracer and it will tell you which cells to target. 6 one way, half a dozen the other. I just wanted to make sure you weren't logging that value thinking it was the actual AFR is all. Sounds like you're on the right track tho.

I use a maptracer in conjuction with my logs. The maptracer tells me what cells are being used, and gives the value of the cells.

The problem I am facing is, maptracer (for example) is telling me im using a cell 260Load/7000RPM in the AFR map with value "8.7" in it. When I go to 260Load/7000RPM on my high octane fuel map, it sais 8.0, not 8.7.......it SHOULD say 8.7 which is why im confused.

I am actually having a considerable amount of fun.......after leaning it out a bit, the car picked up some more power....still at 25psi...

Currently at 428awhp/323awtq

I found a small exhaust leak where the downpipe meets the o2 housing, however Im not sure how to fix considering its a slip-fit gasketless downpipe....

I also did a boost leak test a bit ago, and i found a leak at the oil cap of all places?

VDR of the latest run, butted up with the last run before I leaned it out on the top, and richened it up a bit on spool.

For some reason, the upper RPM fuel cells are not taking. I leaned them out ~7% and I'm still getting the same AFR values....

Thats most likely due to lean spool. If you simply log baro+temp compensated load, that will show the correct cell that you are in.
