Is there a step-by-step for setting up speed density?
Is there a step-by-step for setting up speed density?
I am pretty good with the ECU Flash stuff, including turning off codes for inspection, working with the XML, etc... The one thing I am having trouble with is finding a step-by-step guide to setting up speed density. Such as:
I have searched through a lot of the Tephra v7 thread, as well as played around with it on my car, and had no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction, not for tuning, but just for starting from scratch, and getting the car to run speed density?
Thanks guys!

- what sensors you need
- what wires you cut
- what settings you change in the rom
- anything else that I am missing

Here is that thread you are referring too:

I will read through it and hopefully get what I need!

So on my car, I am running AEM, so I have the GM IAT wired in already, as well as the 3.5 bar AEM map sensor and an AEM UEGO wideband. Since all of this is wired into my plug and play AEM, shouldn't I be able to swap in the stock pcm, perform the software tweaks, and fire it right up pretty much no problem, without re-wiring anything?
Normally you would have to wire up the IAT, larger MAP, and the wideband, but since mine already is there for the AEM, wouldn't it be the same setup?
If so, I am a lot closer than I thought!

I don't have an AEM so I don't know, but how are your sensors wired into the AEM? If they are wired into the same pins that the stock ECU needs, then no, you don't need to rewire anything. If the sensors are simply wired directly into some kind of inputs in the AEM, then yes, you do need to rewire.
For example, your GM IAT sensor needs to be wired into either the maf iat pin or the fuel temp pin. You set which one in the SD settings. Your map sensor gets wired into the mdp pin.
