Speed Density for newbies like me
Is it me or does it seem the info is scattered between a few posts? Should i use Schiedes guide, JCSBanks and MRFred's or a combo.
I'm going to order the speed density conversion from spoolin up. I'm already using a Omni 4Bar Map sensor and its scaled. I remember when I was thinking about doing this around the time spoolin up was making the SD harness there was talk about getting barometric readings to somehow automatically change and be less of a hassle.
I'm still sifting through the info here. I'm no tuner but I have done all the Tephra Mods up until V7. I've done some stuff to my own ecu (rear 02 fix, misfire code, OBDII etc). Should I attempt this on my own. I don't think any of the speed shops around ATL know how to do it and I don't want to pay a sh! ton of money to be someone's guinea pig.
I'm ordering today along with some new plugs.

Besides doing Tephra mods, did you actually do your own tuning, timing, fuel, injector scaling, boost etc?
If you don't understand the basics of tuning then SD might be a bit hard. Either way give it a shot, keep an eye on your wideband when you do though. The hardest part for me was matching up kpa and load. Make sure you have alot of idleing and cruising logs with MAF. Then use graphs to match up KPA and load when you switch over to SD using the VE tables.

I didn't do my own tuning. I watched and tried to learn as much as I could. I can't believe it but I don't think there is anyone in Atlanta that knows how to do it which is making me want to do it even more.
