Help, moved to 96260009 and problems

Hi guys,

I moved to 96260009 Tephra V5.10 last night, I know have the following problems.

Car starts and drives fine, but i keep throwing P0135 Oxgen Sensor Heater circuit Cel.

I am running this on a JDM 2003 evo 8 (EGR has been deleted).

Is there anyway of telling if I need a new sensor or if there is just something wrong with the rom?

Please help I have a race in 2 weeks and need to tune still.

Thanks

Dale

What are your fuel trims/oxygen feedback trim at? Do they at least fluctuate?

Also just to do a side my side comparison to pin point something is wrong with the rom..i would do this.
1. take the negative battery terminal off for 5 minutes
2. reconnect the terminal
3. flash your old known rom that was on the car previous
4. drive around for a good 30mins off of boost

Now if the light comes on you know that its not the ROM its the sensor but if the light doesn't come on you have a hic-up in the rom. Also see if the trims are fluctuating.
This will at least help you pin point the problem.

it is easy enough to see if it is the sensor... put ur stock rom back on.

saying that i am pretty sure its the rom. as i remember someone else with a JDM8 having issues. not sure if a solution was found. if T510 is the only reason.... i am sure t510 came out for JDM8 rom.

why not flash it back to your original rom just to check. Make sure all your peripheries are correctly enabled/disabled.

The O2 sensor will still work even with a failed heater circuit. This rom has been used on many JDM and EDM VIII's without CEL errors.
