back from the dead. i'm having the same issue.
i had no issue logging my old evo on my old laptop and current WB setup. a year later, i used this lap top, EcuFlash, and RomRaider to log my Subaru. AFRs logged great on RomRaider. i hook up everything with EvoScan running. i've checked my COM ports and it shows my serial/USB adapter in com 5. i set EvoScan to show my wideband at port 5. i then go down and tick Innovate LC-1 (i'm using the LC-1 with their DB gauge). so, now i have the LC-1 checked to log from port 5 (tactrix cable is on 6). nothing logs. all i get is "0". i verified the brown wire from the LC-1 is connected to the white wire form the gauge. my 3.5mm "stereo" plug is fastened to the "out" jack from the LC-1. my serial connections are zip tied together. the usb plug DOES make the windows "connect" and "disconnect" sounds when i plug/unplug it. however.. when i click the tray icon to disconnect, it only shows the tactrix cable, not the Gigaware. shouldn't they both be there? i had windows attempt to scan for driver updates.. all seem okay.
i did go to Gigaware's site and download the driver. it unzipped to my c: drive and that was it. i honestly don't know what to do from there. do i manually scan for drivers from my device manager? then find it and click?
lastly, i THINK i remember having to manually set the coms settings in device manager. does any of this ring a bell to anyone?
thanks. this sucks. LOL

you mentoned everything else except which check box is ticked for logging AFR. is it as per mentioned above 'Wideband A/F Ratio'?
as for the drivers, did the download come with an exe file (setup/install)? if not, then you will need to go into device manager to manually install the drivers.
cheers

however! I hope I found my issue: my terminal plug is missing from the "in" line on the LC-1. i read that the wb will not output, as it is stuck waiting from input first. it cost $20 for that little plug. I hope that is the issue.
yes, the AFB (or something like that) box is checked. the drivers did not install, only unzip, so I'll have to figure out how to install them.

You can go to an electronics store and just buy a 2.5mm headset and cut the "earphones" off and just "twist" stripped ends that go to the plug itself together. You may even have an old cell phone earpice laying around (most are 2.5mm) that you can use. In any event, you need the shorting plug on the "in" when logging or really doing anything. Make sure to update the firmware when you get it going for best results and have fun.
