Innovate LC-1 to Evoscan
The lack of 2.5mm shorting plug on the "in" is one of your problems. The serial to usb driver is your other issue (which you are fixing).
You can go to an electronics store and just buy a 2.5mm headset and cut the "earphones" off and just "twist" stripped ends that go to the plug itself together. You may even have an old cell phone earpice laying around (most are 2.5mm) that you can use. In any event, you need the shorting plug on the "in" when logging or really doing anything. Make sure to update the firmware when you get it going for best results and have fun.

now i gotta figure out how to find/install the drivers.
thanks! since most people post their issues with no resolutions, i'll be back to let ya'll know what happens.
what windows you have?
basically right click my computer, click properties, click on ahrdware tab, click device manager.
any connected device that doesnt have the drivers installed will be visible in the list. right click and select update driver /9if option not available, click properties and then update driver)
cheers

I actually clicked "help" from my devices menu. it gave me an option to have Windows look for updates. I let it, then saw it updated Gigaware, among others. sweet. I then ghetto rigged a term plug. now works great. too bad I already ordered the $20 plug though. bleh.
lol dude. have fun logging and using 50 dollar readily available WB02 sensors from 1.8 turbo volkswagens and such when you need to replace them!
I'm not sure what your point it's, but for sure. I stocked up on a few. a friend of mine works for VW. score! if I remember right, they're even plug n play which is a bonus. ooooh, yeeeeah.
