I just installed a MAC valve to use for boost control and am trying to get it all dialed in but at full boost 23-24 lbs the wastegate pulses (I have an EPM Open dump on the stock turbo) so I can really hear it pulsing. Any thoughts or ideas on why it is pulsing. When I was on the stock solenoid it would only pulse in 5th gear pulls and now it is in every gear.
In your case I'm not sure if a bad clutch would cause pulsing but when my clutch started going bad I, along with most others, first noticed it in the higher gears (4th and 5th).

No it can't be the clutch. I just installed an ACT XTSS clutch with prolight flywheel about 1000 miles ago. I think maybe the valve is is pulsing for some reason I'm not to sure though, it is the mac valve that came with my aquamist kit. I was thinking about replacing it with a grimmspeed boost controller but I don't think that would solve the issue.

I was wondering if having the mac- valve being plumed back into the intake is causing the Surging. have port l Routed back into the intake and port3 is the boost source and Port 2 is routed into the wastegate. lam going try leaving port1 open and see if that curse the issue

Gotcha! Well good luck with that. Unfortunately I can't really help you with that.

Off topic though, how do you like the clutch/flywheel setup? I just had the same clutch put in with the the Streetlite flywheel but I haven't broken it in yet.

Hi
Does anyone know any specific settings for the Blitz SBC Boost controllers ?
Say i'd like to have 18psi on ch1 20 on ch2 23 on ch3 and 27 on ch4 .
Are there specific gains/number settings can enter ?

I actually love it, this should of been one of the first things that I did when I got the car. The flywheel takes getting some use to but afterward it drives similar to the stock clutch. Mine held out for 111k before it gave out.

I was driving the car this morning and I am actually thinking that it is compressor surge and not wastegate flutter.

Cool man! I've heard a few people complain about lockout with the ACT products but not with the XTSS so hopefully I'm good there. My main concern with a new clutch was getting one that would last a looonnnggg time so it sounds like I made a good choice Can't really afford to be putting in a new clutch every 15K.

Bummer on the compressor surge man. Good luck on getting that issue taken care of.

Yeah I haven't had any issues so far with it. It seems to be holding up just fine to. Im searching on the forum for possible causes on the compressor surge but I haven't found anything solid yet. I change the lower portion of the wastgate duty cycle map from 80 to 100 to see if it relieves the issue. Im getting 22-24 lbs on 70ish percent if I remember correctly. If i could get rid of the surge it would be great.

So I was wondering if I should have put a resistor inline with the bcs. I read that the stock bcs ohms out about 35 and the 3-port solenoid ohmed out at about 30-32 ohms. Would that be the cause of my fluttering?

Possibly. Have you tried putting the stock solenoid back in to see if the problem goes away? You could also try using a Grimmspeed 3 Port. Those are supposed to use the voltage as the stock solenoid.

yeah im actually thinking about ditching this solenoid for a grimmspeed. I was boosting 24lbs all day long and now this evening it is spiking to 30+, but I am letting off as soon as I see it go past 25.
