A little off topic but may help. Can you remove the honeycomb part of the maf and still have good drivabilty if tuned?

correct...I've been removing the honeycomb since the mid 90's on my TT Stealth and carried that trick over to EVOm when I bought my EVO 8

it does not add horsepower but it does keep your turbo from eating it. I don't typically tell customers to do this mod unless they are going for over 30psi and getting tuned.

I think I found the problem. My silcone intake was leaking underneath so u couldnt see it but could feel it.. Took it off n just put it back on , the intake is now firmer and it is on right. Just need to try it out n see .. Makes sense that would be the problem tho .. Unmetered air sneaking in causeing it to run lean

UPDATED! : That was not the problem ! WTF still leaning out... i saw it off a bit and thought that was deff it....

So checked Boost leaks NON
Checked MAF Honey comb stuff still in tact
Checked FPR hose still on

Any other idea's?!

Hows your fuel pressure? Maybe your fuel pump is on its way out

Have you changed your injector scaling since changing the displacement? Has the car been tuned for 15psi? Are you still having boost control issues?

Yes it would go lean at wot. Not on Mitsubishi's but on BMWs I have seen fuel pumps work fine but at full throttle fall on its face. If you check the fuel pressure it drops at wot.

ok friday im going to benchmark the injectors, replace the fuel pump filter , and see if that does anything

after that put in my stock fuel pump just to test if it still goes lean or not

Unfortunately there is no fitting on the fuel rail to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to test it. You could add a tee into the supply line to the fuel rail if you really want to test fuel pressure. Obviously you would also a fuel pressure gauge.
