Ok so i was able to make my car do this

So i do believe i might have a solution for you all, so just putting it out there

I was able to cause my car to idle high on cold start by changing the following bit

FAA Bit 9, (Enable Warm-Up Ign Retard) by default this was On for me, but i do believe some tephra roms comes with this off,

Well when i disabled this bit instantly my Cold Start Idle was high, around 2000rpm then slowly comes down as the car gets warm

Cheers

So you're saying that re-enabling Bit 9 might be a solution to high idle on cold start? Might give this a try, mine is disabled.

I can verify that, in my case at least, FAA bit 9 isn't a fix. I've had the problem ever since I switched to V7. Warmup Ignition Retard has never been disabled.

Dangit. I was so excited about a fix until I looked at my rom and it's not disabled.

Screwing with the ISCV tables did absolutely nothing for me either.

Hmm weird because my idle is normal, then when i disable this Bit i get 2k RPM when cold, but it may be slightly different, as my high idle slowly comes down as operating temp goes up

So this could be my ISCV tables are too high during cold start

Theres another thread about problems with poor cold idle which helped me fix the high idle after upgrading to v7 (I am running 9653).

Here's what I did:

Guys...don't make it so hard on yourselves the above quote is the actual fix . reduce the numbers on the right to single digit 10 percent at a time till you reach your goal.

Tried out the FAA bit.9 potential fix - doesn't seem to have changed anything so far.

This week, I switched over to Tephra's V7 rom (94170715) and am also experiencing the strange high rpm cold idle.

First I tried 3gEclipseTurbo's suggestion of lowering the ISCV Demand General CTS Subtractor by 10% in the affected coolant temp cells. Upon ignition crank, it shot up to 1700rpm, then settled down to 1300rpms somewhat quickly but then shot up to 2000rpms as soon as I drove off and then pressed the clutch in.

Today, I tried using neonglh's settings, logged it this time and this is what I experienced:

It didn't shoot back to 2000rpms when i clutched in, so that's a plus. But it wildly hunts way too much at the beginning. I'm gonna try tcompusa's settings next.

Here's tcompusa's settings. Looks like this one's a keeper. It doesn't shoot up to 2000rpms when I clutch in either.

heres a video i made that shows proof my settings work flawless even with my highly modified evo on e85.

ignore all the other random crap i said in the video, i made the video specifically for youtuber's but figured i may as well
post it in here as well to show you guys.

also the engine area is noisey as hell because the stupid invidia o2 housing gasket is leaking.

Also car is running in closed loop. so yes.. the ecu can control big injectors just fine in closed loop.
