Sounds like you don't have the right XML in the Rom Metadata folder.

I would try to upload the rom from your ecu. If that does not work, delete ecuflash and install it again.

FYI, you're posting on threads that are 10+ years old. 96940013 is an upgrade to the 2005 USDM 96940011. It has some minor fixes in it from 96940011:
  • Re-enables Boost Cut Load table. For some reason 96940011 set it to a maximum value, essentially disabling boost cut.
  • Set rev limiter slightly lower from 7804 to 7606
  • Fix for detecting P0069
I think folks stopped keeping ROM definitions current once the "universal" 965* ROM was found to be installable into any year car.
Owners wanted off 96940011 since it had no room to add any extra features due to a bunch of extra code to handle the VIN requirements for MY2005.

So you have a few options:
  1. Reflash back to 96940011 and use the definitions for that, knowing many owners are still running 96940011.
  2. Update the Ecuflash definitions for 96940013 so it can detect and correctly map that ECU version.
  3. Update your ROM to a tephra release.
If you want to use the work I did for #2, you are welcome to use it (attached XML file).
Copy the XML file into your C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo folder and restart ecuflash, then try loading your rom file again.

Be aware I haven't run 96940013, but I have compared it to the 96940011 rom with EcuFlash's Compare ROM function and they show as identical except for the 2 intentional changes made by Mitsubishi, so I believe it to be mapped properly.

Edit: If you copied logic's XML file from the "ROM Version 96940013" thread from 2009, delete that XML and replace it with the one attached here. The one I attached has all the scalings defined internally and should work properly for you.
