Going lean above 6000

This symptom started about two weeks ago, AF's will be fine to 5800 ish and then start climbing regardless of what is adjust in the ROM, checked all the mechanical parts, swapped FPR, both pumps work(DC never goes beyond 62%), if it was a pump the DC would max out. Car is the same as it was except for the Black(28 psi), has 2150's, BR DP, pump E85, English Racing SD program, ect. There must be an electronic glitch since raising the VE or adding tons of fuel in the fuel table does nothing. AF's climb rapidly to the mid 13's. Also another weird thing is a decent amount of knock at 3800-6k that it never had.

What load is the car hitting Curt? It may be hitting the load limit, which can be disabled

Don't use the load disable with SD the program wont work right like that.

The fuel load limit can be safely removed from what I saw though.

That is what I was referring to, sorry I didn't clarify!

Code:
85590015:

table name="Set to 9 to remove IPW limit" address="2a69a" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

Funny you mention this. I've been tinkering around with my car while I'm waiting for a new clutch and I'm seeing this same exact thing. When I edit my fuel tables I see changes in 1st and 2nd gear, but 3rd gear shows very consistent AFR's climbing. I have the high octane fuel table at 7.4 in those load cells (400+ at 7000) and it still hits the same AFR time after time, low 13's in 3rd gear only. I'm running 96530706. Here's a snippit of RPM, Load, AFR -

Here's 1st -

5027 187 12.7
5398 244 12.1
5855 268 11.7
6472 345 10.3
7003 396 10
7691 385 10.3

Here's 2nd -

5894 195 12.7
6039 242 11.3
6296 312 10.8
6601 385 10.1
6976 402 10
7273 398 10.6
7628 389 10.7
7980 376 10.6
8242 365 10.7

Here's 3rd -

5183 387 11.7
5414 402 12
5660 396 12.6
5906 393 12.9
6148 393 12.9
6378 396 12.9
6601 402 13
6832 402 13.1
7074 396 13.1
7261 396 13.2
7492 389 13.2

The fuel cut said to use x1 and was at 319 but why would 1st and 2nd be pig rich (10.0) and third show 13+ in the same load cells at the same RPM's? Should I change it to use x2 and set it to 500 or something? My car is on the stock maf.

Thanks!

300, makes sense since the car was fine on the smaller turbo's, on real low boost it is fine, 27 or higher it's bad, could I send you my tune to look at the load, thats over my head!

Curt, just send them to Aaron, he has some unique hex changes and definitions that I do not see with the way he manipulates the rommetadata... I figured it wasn't load related as Aaron also tends to adjust his RPMVE and MAPVE tables to tailor the load to a smaller value...

I disable the load limit stuff the old fashioned way, though SD in and of itself disables it as well.

I will grab a fresh highway log tomorrow, odd that the Red did not have this issue. It's acting like the car has one pump yet the duty cycle is only low 60's and going lean.

That is what I am talking about... a lot of the stuff you change just by hex value...

Not sure exactly what SD ROM is being used (3D, 2D, etc), but in general the load and IPW limit 'fixes' are not compatible with the SD code. Here's the post by John way back when.

When I first read your post, however, I thought it was the second pump not coming on, or something with the pump flow that is the issue. Depending exactly how you're logging it, your duty cycle being low doesn't mean both pumps are working fine. The duty cycle is just being 'calculated' based on the IPW and RPM. In open loop, there is no feedback on AFR to tell your injectors to flow a higher duty cycle to compensate for your raising AFR. They are just going to report the duty cycle needed to run the AFR you have mapped.

My first bet is that it's a hardware issue with one/both pumps or setup.

So the jist to see if fuel cut load removal is working is to log IPW to verify it's increasing and this will tell me if it's working?

My tables are scaled to 500 load because in winter that's what I was hitting at 38PSI.
