I had a problem with my usb to serial adapters, sometimes it would work with evoscan and then sometime it would work for logworks. I just gave in a got a laptop with a serial port, paid 120 for and cleared all the problems i was having. It might be the usb-serial adapter give another one a try and see what happens

tapping directly into the ecu wiring harness doesn't require any usb to serial connections or any connections at all for that matter to the computer. it is all based on the Eval in evoscan.

I have this exact problem when I log my WB. I have to turn it on with "log to screen" enabled to make sure it's logging, then stop it, turn off "log to screen", restart it and carry on with whatever I wanted to do.

yes im aware, see the thread i linked on the first page if you have a second.

even with correct eval etc, evoscan 2.8, brand new sensor etc I can't get the stupid thing to act right. And it's not the typical signs of a dead brain.

what item are you logging in evoscane for wb02 data?
External Wideband A/F Ratio

I think it's working now, but I haven't had a chance to go out and test it.

ok, that is the correct item. be sure to close logworks/lm programmer before trying to log with evoscan of course.

Thank you to everyone who took time to give me some advice! It's working great! I just got done installing my Innovate db gauge and EvoScan is reading dead on with the gauge. Here are some Virtual Dyno Graphs.

Blue is the first run, Red is second, and Green is a log from Jan 2010.

It's spiking 23psi, 0 counts of knock, and pig rich hitting 10.9 at 5000rpm and continuing to 10.2 at rev limit 7500rpm.

I need to get an Omni 4bar so I can start logging boost. I hit 270 and tapers to 180-200 by redline.

Also, switched to TephraV7-94170715! Only issue I had was hitting fuel cut because I forgot to change to upper limits! Works great and lots more resolution for tuning. Thanks again to all those who contributed!
