Evoscan reprogramming LC1
Evoscan reprogramming LC1
Anymore this is more than an anomaly. I have noticed, in the past on my evo, that the LC1 would work fine for months and would suddenly get recalibrate to "custom fuel" settings when I would start logging the car again. I dismissed it thinking I was the crazy one. The problem exists to this day even with the latest versions of evoscan. Still not accepting this.
3 weeks ago I got my DSM out to go racing. I've had an LC1 in this car for going on 2 years now. The LC1 has been flawless. I have NEVER had so much as a glitch with this unit. I got a logging cable for my DSM from hamish so that I can now log my DSM with evoscan. Wouldn't you know on the way to the track my LC1 (which feeds my ecu the O2 feedback signal) starts ****ing up. I open up LMProgrammer and sure enough custom settings.
Thirdly my friend with yet another evo has had NO problems with his LC1. Then this past weekend he goes to log the car after doing some ECU mods to make sure everything is fine and sure enough a ****ed up "custom setting" LC1.
This is NOT and anomaly, its proven fact at this point that the current crop of LC1 "issues" are not LC1 issues but in fact a bug in evoscan reprogramming the unit. Now that my LC1 feeds a simulated narrow band signal to my ecu's in BOTH my cars, the car is dead until I get ahold of my laptop to reprogram it.
Has anybody found a solution for this?

I have had this same problem, but only when I disconnect the LC1 to WB cord while the car is on or LC1 is powered on. I never have this issue when I turn the car to switch cords. I think this is due to the LC1 and WB controller freaking out when you disconnect while they are running.
big nono to disconnect the serial 2.5mm cable when LC1 is powered.
that said I dont think its evoscan doing it, probably just the LC1 ****ing up when the car is powered on/off many times.
that said the serial cable sux ***! just wire the analogue output into the ECU and log via tactrix... saves a LOT of headaches
