Post your E70 and E85 fuel/timing maps

Hi Guys,

I am going to add flexfuel to V3 (yes a bit premature) but I need to get some data about map differences between say E70 and E85.

So if you are tuned for both please post up

thx
D.

Can't you just modify the fuel injector scaler depending on an inline ethanol sensor?

I suppose you could have 2 timing maps and use a % of each depending on ethanol %.

I don't have the E70 / E85 info for my car. My gas station uses E80 all year round.

I have said maps for a couple of customer cars, but I don't know if I should post that.

Me too! The only reason I have never gone e85 is because I DD my car and don't want to get stuck somewhere without an e85 station nearby. Flexfuel would be awesome!

few people (if any) out there really know what they are getting (in the USA) at least.

I have seen stickers say "Min 70% EtOH", "Min 69% EtOH" and "Min 85% EtOH"

likewise, I do not switch/tweak maps with suspected seasonal blend changes (obviously I keep an eye on things, but my tune is conservative and I have yet to run into any issue)

that being said, I do have a GM EtOH content sensor and would be happy to help in this endeavor in any way I can.

i have a gm eth content sensor. all the e85 stations i've used pump the same blend year round (76% for one station and 82% for the others), but by virtue of dilution with pump gas, i've run 60% eth a few times. i did a few logs and observed a half point richer afr and no increase in knock. i didn't retune timing to see if the lower eth had somehow pushed me past mbt, but i can say that my e85 tune felt great on 60% eth.

I don't think fuel would have changed your MBT point.
