dual map question

i have seen that i can use my IC sprayer switch or my throttle to switch maps, but my question is can i wire a normal switch of some sorts to change maps? or is it strictly these 2 methods?

you can wire it in also - but the question is why????????? why give yourself more work? the only other reason you would want or need to wire it in is if you had some type of meth fail safe switch map so it switches over to a fail safe.

Just for positive reminder what map I'm currently on. I'm anticipating switching maps regularly, between an E85 and a pump map, since E85 isn't all over yet.

I currently have map switching from 91 oct to 100 oct. Map switching is done via IC sprayer button on my 03 evo. I can easily tell what map i'm on by looking at the IC sprayer light on the dash. For 100 oct, all you have to do is hold down the IC auto button till the IC dash light starts blinking and then let go. It'll remain blinking to tell you that it's on the 100 oct map. Now, if you want to switch back to 91 oct, just hold down the IC auto button again till the light goes away and now your on your 91 oct map.

I hope this helps!

I thought about this too, but my ICS light blinks when I'm on the Alt map.

Get a dual gauge steering column pod, you won't even notice your fuel light

i have the single pod on the column now, and having a CEL or 2 has motivated me to move my gauge off the steering column eventually.
