Need Help!!!! Evo 5/6/6.5

I'm using openport 2.0, I was trying to pull rom from evo 5 but not success. So I wonder that does evo 5 / 6 /6.5 have flash block ? or Do i need to put flash connector to pull or flash rom ? I was trying to find flash block But I could not find it.

One more thing, I'm using ECUflash 1.43+ and I have heard that Evo 5/6/6.5 only work with Ecuflash 1.41. So Now I dont know what to do in order to read and write rom to evo 5/6/6.5.

if Anyone has ideas, experiences or suggestion please let me know

Need help asap

Thank you so much guys

you definitely need to connect the flash connector as well as the ODBII connector to read/flash the ECU.
I have a VI and the connector is tapped to the loom just above the ODBII connector.
I thought the V was readable so it must have the connector, but have never seen a V.
I have a 1997 GSR which didnt have the flash connector so had to use a TME ECU and add the wire and connector that I got from a loom at the car wreckers. so if the V is the same you could do that.

I've tuned/flashed several 5/6/TME, they all had the flash connector correctly hooked up, on the 5's though it was tucked away really tightly up above the loom that runs above the OBD plug.

Obviously if you can't find the flash plug, check that pin 79 on the ECU exists or not, if it doesn't there's your issue.

You need 1.43 to flash correctly with OP2.0.

Yep, use 1.43, connect both items, select your vehicle type and away you go.

Evo 5/6 yes but 6.5 TME NO! the best way is to check your ECU by removing the ECU case. if its showing 7202 cpu then your OK, and if showing 7203 cpu then some other matters are to be done to read and write it

Since we are on the subject of Evo 5-6.5, has anyone ever come across a problem with these in that once the Load goes above 260 the timing goes static to 5 degrees? I have this problem no matter what value I have in the 260 load column and no matter if I rescale the maps for higher load.

The car I have this with is using a Ceddy ROM.

In Ceddy rom (or actually ralliart rom) there is default +5 degrees (BTDC) limit for ignition advance, if you have not changed that ignition will not go lower than that no matter what you have on maps. This is first thing to check.

No, there is parameter for that, something like "ignition max retard".
