Hey guys,

Recently I changed laptops and had to migrate over Tephra V7, ECU Flash and Evoscan. All software is working fine, however I have a problem with interfacing between the car and not too sure if it is a setting on my laptop.

The cable is detected on the laptop when plugged in, identifying it as a Tactrix 1.3 cable and saying it is connected. When I go to ECU Flash, none of the ROM commands at the top are highlighted, allowing me to download or upload a new ROM to my ecu. When I am in Evoscan, it wont establish a connection, saying 'Openport 1.3 cable is not responding'.

Something leads me to believe its a fault on the cable. I quickly went down to a local tuner who was really busy, and plugged my laptop into one of his cars he was tuning, and I was able to use Evo Scan, however he was using an Openport 2.0 cable. I did not get the chance to test his cable on my car.

Any ideas to try or settings to change? I have limited my problem to 1 of the 3.

- Issue with the new laptop not interfacing with my car
- Issue with the cable not interfacing with my car
- Issue with my car, not interfacing with the cable

What would it most likely be? Is it something simple that I havent tried?
