Stationary Limiter MIA for 52690021

So last night I was drag racing my sponsor's 2008 Evo X MR and had a heck of a time getting the car to launch well on the sticky track surface. Turns out that no matter what I changed the value to on the Stationary Limiter it always reved to 5000 with -8 psi and minimal load. This resulted in lame 12 second timeslips with 2.4 short times. My daily driver 2011 Evo X MR is set for 4000 rpm and I can adjust the stationary limiter to whatever I want on that ROM. I think the stock value is supposed to be at 5500 but it's odd it only reaches 5000 and doesn't build any boost at all.

Apparently the no boost at the line is normal though as I just tested my 2011 and there is no boost either but due to the turbo being small it builds it plenty fast enough as it launches.I remember my 2008 Evo X GSR hit 10 psi on the limiter so I'm wondering why it's different MR versus GSR?

Any chance we can get someone to dig up what the proper value is? Maybe I can upgrade to the 52690022 or 52690024 roms if those are known to be working? Guess if base roms are available somewhere I can even test that myself.

As a workaround I tried stabbing the throttle and got similar 2.4 short times, next tested brake boosting and got 3 psi at 3000 rpm and 2.3 short times. What finally worked in desperation was putting the car into neutral and reving to 6500, then when ready to go released the brake, drop into gear and feed it throttle:

60' - 1.808
1/8 - 7.634 @ 93.90
1/4 - 11.786 @ 118.51

60' - 1.940
1/8 - 7.735 @ 94.95
1/4 - 11.834 @ 120.12

The trouble is this method is tricky in that it will still be in autoshift mode unless you move the shifter over in time, both runs got hosed since I hit the paddle out of habbit as the ECU autoshifted so it did a good launch, then double upshifted through 2nd and 3rd forcing 4th to do an extra long pull, followed by me shifting to 5th in disgust.

I'm quite sure at 26-28 psi with more timing and a full use of all gears the car will do low 11's. If I convince the owner to drop some weight it could actually contend for high 10's but the correct stationary limiter value needs to be found! E85 doesn't seem to be any benefit yet since the clutchpacks open up when pushed past 28 psi every time.

Worst case scenario I should be able to drop a 2011 Evo X MR ECU into the car right?

I've check the raw code and data. ROMs 52690021, 56900007 and 56900009/0010 are all identical.

I did track some bitflags back to ECU Options Set #3, as I thought it might be controlled by something there. Unfortunately, that drew a blank too (as far as I could see, anyway).

Sorry - so smoking gun here yet.

I might have to figure out a workaround to bump up spool with retarded timing which may work since usually the load won't dip that low thanks to the near instant SST shifting holding boost.

Interesting, i was just comparing differences between a 2008 GSR and 2008 MR ECU Options bits. Only differences I saw were these:

ECU Options Set #3, bit 14 - GSR = 1 & MR = 0 Cruise Control Enable/Disable

ECU Options Set #4, bit 1 - GSR = 0 & MR = 1

Probably won't effect much, Cruise control works fine on the MR although only in "Normal" mode.
