I have read the ECU's rom and get a very strange parameters from my JDM EVO 7, the revs have strange numbers and the load axis too. I have tried to change the rev column with 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, etc and when write to the rom the engine won't start, then switch back to the downloaded rom with the rev and load axis with the strange number the engine works normal. So I cannot see were to do the tuning as the parameters are not normal. Opening the rev limiter, injector scaling, MAF scaling, and all the parameters has strange number.

As anyone encounter these issues, or know how to fix it...

I have changed the rev limit values with 7200, the injectors to 540cc/min, etc but then the engine won't start, only if a switch back to the present strange values the engine starts normally...

Check out the strange values from the downloaded stock rom...

Thanks Todd for the help, I have copied the files to:

Start -> My Computer -> C: -> Program Files (x86) -> OpenECU -> EcuFlash -> rommetadata -> Mitsubishi -> Evo

Reloaded the ecuflash rom from the ecu and still the same I have re downloaded the ECU's rom image but still have the strange values...

Am I doing something wrong?

 

It might happened that you have more than one 98640014 xml file in rommedata/mitsubishi/evo folder, check that. There should be only one xml. If that doesn't help either, you can always make a fresh ecuflash install (after uninstall you need to delete left files manually).

good stuff . you can use a 90550001 rom , theres a few variations tephra 5.10 mods and also a tephra v7

 

What's the difference between the 98640014 and the 90550001 ?

 

9055001 is a Ralliart (white case) ECU ROM file. It's quite universal ROM, widely used, there are a lot of mods for this ROM, it's very developed over past few years.
