so guys, need more and detailed resolution in mid and top of my map and want to rescale it under 100 load area. my question is can I completely remove 10-20 loads ? in what circumstances are they in play ? as I don't want to sacrifice idling or off boost driveability

instead of 10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-100 thinking about some options:

10-30-50-70-90-100
20-40-60-80-90-100
30-40-60-80-90-100
40-60-70-80-90-100

which one to go ?

 

If you using a non V7 ROM, you will need to fix the other timing maps (EGR, low coolant trim).

I see 405060 load during cruise so I actually use the lowest load on my table because thats the lowest load Ill be driving at. I see lower loads on overrun, but the ECU just interpolates below your lowest value and youre good to go.

40 load in my set up is mostly overrun, but i leave it there because light throttle down hill can hop this low.

 

What about idle?

 

It just interpolates

 

what load are you hitting at idle and what load you averaging at cruise? if you idle at 23 for example and cruise between 40-60, then i would set it to

20 40 50 60 90 100

also it depends on how your map looks, you dont want to over sacrifice tip-in and part throttle acceleration.

If you r40-60 map points are all exactly the same, then you could do

20 40 60 80 90 100

the options are endless and all depends on your setup/tune.

also, how many map points do you want to add? where exactly so you want to add them? have you considered getting rid of 110 and going from 100 120 instead?

I idle at 40 load. as about cruise, do not remember exactly tbh
and I need resolution between 100-200 incremented by 10 instead of 20 and also want to expand map past 350 load a bit

 

for my ROM, my 10-40 maps are identical except for fuel >6000 RPM @ 40 load. the probability at being over 6000 RPm & 40 load is very low except under decel.

So, if you are similar then you could start at 40 load as everything under is the same so the ECU would interpolate accoridngly where needed. there is 3 map points you could gain.

again for my ROM, my 50 & 60 loads are identical except for 1 cell @ 6000 RPM. so again i could get rid of 50 load point.

you really just need to check your ROM and determine what can go and what needs to stay.

so for MY ROM, if i was in your situation i would have

40 60 70 80 90 100
