Utec log with new 1.7 firmware

Guys,

My car was running very lean after I switched to the new 1.7 firmware.

Its interesting you needed to make that much of an adjustment to the base injector size.. thats really strange.. In any case, you can try to target more of an 11.25 or so until your comfortable with your tuning.. Also, you'll have to add some fuel to specific load sites where your boost peak is since it seems like you have a slight lean spot..

Yeah, I was suprised to see how lean my car ran with the new stage 2 map since Turboxs said they were targeting 11.1 AFR. But come to think of it, the previous stage 1 map seemed REALLY lean on my car already. So....

BTW, it seemed that the ECU was pulling timing from around 2,800 to 3,900 rpm. Should I retard the timing a bit in that area also?

I read from the other post that you guys stated I should lower both of my modded and stock injector sizes to give it a global correction to increase injector pulse width if I'm running lean.

Work on getting your target fuel curve... then focus on the timing.. you can remove a bit of timing until your comfortable with the fuel curve..

What was your AFR when you had 550's in the parameters?

Post your parameter file i would like to compare it.

Check your FPR connection make sure their are no leaks and that the Solenoid connected to it is working correctly.

Do you have any CEL's? Did you have any difficulties loading the ver. 1.7 software?

AFR is about high 12.xx with the stage 2 map.

I'll check the FPR connection and download the parameter file when I get home to night. As far as I can remember the only changes I've made besides lower the Rev limiter to 7400 RPM and lower modded/stock injector to 500 is I also lower the Max MAF to 15.

I got the PO108 code after upload the new software.

No problem loading the software though, went smoothly w/out any problems on first try.

Jermaine- I am having a weird problem.. My car is running 680cc injectors, if i scale them with the utec to 550/680 the car will barely run.. Erik had the same problem when i scalled his to 550/660.. If we scale them both to 550 the car idles fine..

As a side note, when we loaded the base txs stg 2 map on Erik's car it was damn close to 11.1 and in no way lean.. Good Work on that..

Yea the base map was pretty damn good!

Also is there a way to tune to get rid of the rpm drop (car almost stalls) when stopping with cams? I tried to mess around with it more today and couldnt figure it out.

You know this UTEC is getting more and more interesting to me. Would love to try and mess with one someday. Anyway every log i have every looked at that has been posted has never shown any knock at all. With the AEM you always get knock and you have to figure out what is engine noise and what is knock and work off that once you get it figured out. How does the UTEC work in that aspect?
