tuning help!

Well I started tuning my car today on e85 after getting the old tune from the place that tuned it (DB performance) and some reason it will hit boost (aiming for 30psi)

first pull it will be nice, good afr (high 11's, 12.0) hitting right about 30psi.

than ill do another pull, the car will run like crap! itll boost lower and run a rich as F afr (10.0) and lower the lowest my wideband reads is 10. than ill put in the clutch to stop and it will wanna die, go down to 300 rpm or so and either kill or limp up to idle.

can someone PLEASE help me out and tell me what is going on and help me get it running properly!

you probably had some leak in the charge piping after the 30 psi pull.

Well, did a boost leak test found a leak from theturbo to j pipe. Gonna fix that tomorrow, did a couple pulls 3 rd gear ran perfect 30 psi falling (from leak prolly) 12.0 afr. And did a 4th gear pull 25psi falling 11.0 afr BUT didn't go into limp mode!

Hopefully using a little rtv will seal it. I also crushed my bov. So we will see what happens tomorrow, hopefully all goes well.

And lean spool is still on.

RTV is never a boost leak solution IMO.

The right gasket maker in the right circumstance is appropriate , but are we talking about gobbling it on there?

You will never see an RTV sealant used on any positive pressure application in our shop. It's a band-aid to the actual issue. Flat flanges and metal gaskets. RTV will eventually succumb to the effects of the pressure and environment. Fix it once and you won't need to come back to it. There are enough potential issues in the system to worry about. Band-aiding them just makes the car a basket case over time.

This car, lol. Well now its running like crap. Idle is 12/13afr mostly in 12s wot is solid 11. Can the boost leak cause this? Im assuming not the idle but will lean out wot when fixed. Cel came on, idk what for. Disconnected batt let car run for 20 min than cruised. Hasnt came back on. Wot in 3rd afrs will go to 12.0 but every other gear their 11.0ish

Is anyone willing to look at my tune and help me please!!? I can even throw you some money but dont have too much at the moment. I just want a solid car. It used almost 1/4 tank driving 15miles highway ! (on e85) i really want a 15.0 afr at idle/cruise to get better mpgs. I do have mitsulogger right now for logging.
