I have evo4(with evo8 ecu) that has no map sensor, do I need that too ?
not for boost logging, just want to run ecu controlled boost

does it make sence to rely on the boost gauge only ? wouild it be hard to tune the boost that way

IV's manifolds doesn't even have the port for the map sensor

 

you can get an adapter with a tail to mount the map sensor then use a feed pipe from manifold to tail.

This isn't a problem at all, you can always connect GM 3BAR or similar MAP sensor into FPR vacuum line, it's the same way, as you would connect boost gauge, or EBC.
