I think it is (potentially) such a great product at such a great price that I think we should e willing to wait a while. An update would be nice though

Hey Mitsi Evo comrades,

We have now taken enough orders for the first batch of pre-orders. Any further pre-orders will now be for the second batch which will be announced after the first batch has been sent out.

Some great news and some delay news. I've now got all the EvoDroid7 android gps units packaged up and ready to go for the first batch, but I am still waiting on a couple of circuit board parts for the new more powerful charging part of the new OpenPort 1.3DA and 3.0DA cables, the parts won't be arriving until after the holiday break, sorry about that, I tried my hardest to get them all assembled before now. Rest assured I’ll still be adding more features and making performance optimizations to the EvoDroid7 over my holiday break since I have 3 weeks off my day job, yay. And As a gesture to all you hardcore fans, I will be providing all orders with a free upgrade to Express track and trace Shipping at a value of $28USD for FREE.

Thanks again,

And I’ll be happy to take any questions over the holiday break, I’ll be around.

Cheers,

Hamish.

Chill out guys...give the man a break! I too would have liked to have the tablet in time to get it setup during xmas break, but that is life...be patient, it will be worth it!

This a BADASS solution for cheap track logging too!
All gauges in one hit with temps, pressures etc. all in the one hit.

as per previous post, the cable and software will only be available individually later on, after the first few batches of EvoDroid7 has been sent out and delivered.

Since standard double din sizing is 18x10 has anyone widened their jdm double din bezel to fit this?
Wonder if the gps is good enough to do lap timing?
This baby if mounted in the dash will bring me one step closer to having a baby gtr

I've been thinking of fitting this into a double din bezel also. Will just have to wait until it comes in to see. As far is GPS lap timing, it would be nice to see if it works. I haven't seen what the internal specs are, and I really don't predict more than 1hz. I'm currently running TrackMaster through my Android phone, and using an external bluetooth 5hz GPS unit. The internal 1hz just wasn't fast enough.

Hope it has a nice rca port or audio jack that i can leave it plugged into permanently as i think my headphone jack is wearing out on my phone from all the plugging and unplugging. I want this thing to fully replace my deck.

With it's gps i wonder if it's possible to track the car as well, of course i'd wire it to a hidden battery but would be a nice security feature.
