Guys, need advice. Evo9 2.2l engine, power enterprise stroker, Jun272 cams and GTX 2860 tial turbo. As soon as I adjust mivec the car start to knock badly, tried to change timing, but it doesnt help, AFR is stable around 11. If I set mivec map to 0 the car runs fine. If I slightly change the Mivec map, it knocks !

Any Idea where should I look ?

P.S. Engine is new and well assembled, no leaks, no noises.

 

Double check cam and ignition timing. I had the same issue and was out one tooth.

 

Double checked it already, cams in place, ignition in place, changed also mivec pulley.

 

What kind of long block?

 

2.2 in stock 4g63 block, 147 mm rod + stock height pistons and 94-mm crank.
