warmup tuning?

anyone tuned for faster warmup?
can you show your timing maps? custom minimum idle? other adjustments?

the other car i drive fully warms up like twice faster...
evo seems to take forever, i wonder why.

I would suggest to check thermostat first and then start with tuning, had a similar problem and thermostat solved the issue

thanks for an idea, but it's improbable. my car has been like this from the day one and i'm the only owner, other evos i've seen are acting similarly... anyway, it's due to change timing belt, so i'll check into that sooner rather than later.

besides this, any tuning tips?

lower timing should increase EGT, so I guess you could retard timing to generate a bit more heat. Don't know how much it'll help though. What's your cold idle rpm?

pretty much stock. the car in question, which warms up 2 times faster, is a completely stock subaru forester xt. it has somewhat higher idle when cold (100-200 rpm judging from its firmware). it seems i'll be trying that soon.
