Oh I do have a strange noise I can't figure out. Full boost usually around 4500-5500 maybe to redline it sounds like I have an open dump O2 housing and I don't. No exhaust leaks etc. sounds like its coming from driver side of motor. Won't do it in N free rev. Has to be full boost and higher rpm.

 

I understand your frustration and yea something is definitely up... The next logical step would be purchasing "detonation cans" or making some yourself. This would help you chase down that real knock

 

So the noise I believe is my air filter. Not sure what kind it is. It just attaches directly to the maf and I think it's very restrictive. Car came alive when I removed the filter and ran an open maf and the noise went away.

 

What kind of filter did you have installed? In the first post you only listed "injen hard pipe". Glad you found the culprit

 

Not sure. It was on the car. Looks like a blox where it doesn't use an adapter to the maf. I logged my Baro and it dropped from 99 to 92-93
