I just received my Tactrix cable and am new to tuning. My car runs like crap at times and I would like to figure out what's going on with the car. Any feedback on the log would be appreciated.

 

Post up your tune file. Do you have a wideband in the car?

 

Not sure if this is what you are referring to... Yes there is a wideband in the car, haven't hooked it up yet to log from the ECU. It reads 10.0 at any throttle position, if that gives you an idea of why I'm so skeptical of the tune.

 

Some observations:

- Main timing map seems reasonable
- Fuel map is HORRIBLE
- Boost cut is disabled
- Your LTFT_low is maxed out at 12.5%
- Why such a high idle rpm?
- Knock sensor is practically disabled

No wonder it runs like ****. Whoever tuned it, don't take it there anymore. I would get it tuned ASAP, and have the new tuner throw out that map and start fresh...

 

The idle is so high as that was the "shops" fix to make the car stop stalling... It's also throwing CEL's for the knock sensor and IAT. It's a freshly built 2.4LR, built head, 280 GSC's, stock 9 turbo on 93 oct. It made 416whp and 459ft/lbs on this tune. Trying to max out the stock turbo but this tune obviously isn't helping.

 

I'm reading up all the threads on tuning now but a more detailed explanation would be appreciated, to give me a better understanding of what exactly is going on. How safe or unsafe is it?

Also, ecuflash doesn't recognize my ROM, I can't view the maps. How can I fix that? Thanks.

 

you cant view it, because you need tephra v7 xml's. send me an email to tscompusa@gmail.com and ill give the xml's to you if you'd like.

that rom has all kinds of dumb stuff done to it. the car should be retuned and addressed in multiple areas.
