The factory ecu is the best for a street car. I dont know of a function that aem has that hasnt been programed into the oem ecu. Except second injector controls but with todays massive volume injectors its not needed to run a second set anymore

 

You haven't read what Ev0ikon said?!
My sincere advice is that you stick with the oem ecu, save the $1700-$2000 cost of standalone ecu & spend it on other useful mods.

 

Aem infinity, haltech, vipec, gems, link, motec, autronic, pectel, syvecs, life racing there's a lot + more too

 

First of all, why are you looking for an ECU that's "better than the aem"?

 

I suspect the OP just want to say "I got the best ECU money could buy". :\

 

Better than AEM would be Haltech, Vipec, Link, simple to setup and tune, best ban for buck! This is from my experience

if you look at from a tuner point of view then it is worth the money , the aem 1 and 2 is not VE based and is allot harder to setup and tune , aem cannot support as many OEM triggers as haltech or link/ vipec , do your home work and chose for your self .
