Running FIC 2150's

How many of you guys are running them? I just threw them in an 8 along with SD and finally got them to idle around 14.7 area. I'm not sure if I overlooked something or not but at initial start up, it runs extremely lean until it hits operating temps. I'm running a 1.088 min IPW with the patch.

Basically I'm looking for people who are running these successfully and see how their turnout was.

Normally I set them up completely opposite. Did you play with MAF comp vs coolant yet? From the issue you are having I would suggest that before you play with anything else. It is also called Post primer enrich decay (#1 and #2).

Completely different huh? Well I read a few places that you had to run open loop at idle areas and lean it out in the fuel map just to get it to idle around stoich. On top of which, using the IPW patch.

Can I ask what you did to make them run good or hint at it? Or is it your own secret?

I run them rich is what I meant, sorry I didnt explain it well. I run them open loop with big cams on an VIII normally but they can be set up on closed loop as well if you want it a little lumpy.

The MAF Comp vs coolant table looks like this stock on right and modded on left, post primer enrich decay is below that-

Any SD car will use some variation of this to cure the cold lean issue.

I finally had time to get rid of my lean startup condition with the maf comp tables the other day... now to find time to retune the car with the new fuel pumps installed...
