evoscan not logging

I'm sure that this is operator error, but I'm at a loss as to how to fix it. Evoscan connects to the ecu fine and the information panel goes green when "logging". The file that get saved has the selected information titles across the top of the file, but no data filed under it? What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried opening them in excel or open office? Also check to see what the extension of the file is named?

I can open the file, there is no data logged. Here is a screen shot, which I should have put in my first post.

Tried a couple more things based on recommendations here and on evox. I tried with Multi-threading both enabled and disabled. I deleted EvoScan 2.9 and reloaded it into My Documents. Same result. I opened EvoScan 2.9 using the Windows XP compatibility mode. Same result. I tried using EvoScan 2.7 and I have the same results. I think that I don't have the setting inside of EvoScan set properly. I am using the settings that initially come up. Baud Rate 500000, timeout ms 1000, open port 2 (this is the cable I have), CAN 2006 +/EvoX. I have tried both Mode23 USA EvoX and EvoX CAN MUTIII. After I stop the data logger the event log shows:

Info: OpenPort Firmware v1.12.368
Info: Battery 14.312V
Info: Initialize Vehicle ECU...
Info: Initializing CAN...
Info: CAN Connected...
Info: Connection successful...
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Info: Datalogger Ended.

I'm thinking I have something set wrong since the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Did you make sure the log to file option is checked? I can't remember which menu has this option in 2.9 because I don't have my computer with me, but I do remember having the same problem for this reason.

Log to file and log to screen are both checked. I'll try checking just log to file.

The error is what gave it away. Glad it was a simple fix.
