hallo everybody, I'm a new entry from Italy!
Why buy or build a new harness for flashing the acd ecu? Its only need to put in the connector the flash wire (ecu pin 25) and connect it directly to the relflsh connector of the open port; the op tactrix can simply be connect to the stock obd socket.
It works perfectly and it much easy to read, reflash and log.
Here some pict:

Marlin, I have million question for you!!

1- I flash tha RA-K2 (for evo 7 401501) in my EDM evo 8 acd+ayc, but logging the pressure it still working between 12 and 15 bar, why?
2- Is the two pressure value min e max settable in the rom, or there is a fix switch in the pomp group?
3- I can't understand the exatly meaning of the 'lockup' B.x maps, why the % value decrease with higher value of throttle?

That's all by now, hopeing it could be a collective interest!

Bye!

pump pressure, for a good working pump is always between 12 and 15 bar.. 15 bar is the max operating pressure and you can not go higher because there is a pressure valve inside the pump which opens at 15 bar..

I will post up a new set of xmls later today, with improved descriptions and some tuning notes included within the xml on what the maps do.

e7,8,9 do not have a pressure switch but a pressure sensor... the pumps are the same otherwise..

7/1/2014, revised xml with corrections and some included tuning notes.
Merlin, is this the ROM I posted in the other thread?

I am pretty sure the US relief is 16 bar. There was a post about this A LONG time ago talking about the idle pressures and curve for each mode. Doesnt really matter if its 15 or 16 I suppose as its enough clamping otherwise.

well, that could be easy enough to check but I have no USDM pumps with me.

Could be though... as USDM pumps have a different body design but I would say that difference wasnt intentional..

Merlin:
I think there is something wrong with new xml: A's maps are swapped with B maps...

Are the proportional valves 'absolute' pressure control or relative? I mean: if I have 15 bar pomp pressure and I drive at 50% (for axample 600mA) the valve I should have 7.5bar at the clutch; if the pump pressure rise till 18 bar and the current is still drive to 50% (still 600mA) wich pressure I'll have on the clutch? still 7.5 or 9 bar?

bye

The A-Maps are Throttle v Speed

The B-Maps are G-Force v Speed

The C-Maps are Steering Angle v Speed

I think they all kind of overlay, so you end up with a 5 dimensional map, but there are probably other factors involved dictating how they are applied.
For example, there may be limiting or gain tables dictating the "weighting" of each map. Dont know at this stage.
