Looking for Opinions

Hey guys, I'm having a debate/dilema with myself. I'm trying to figure out, what is the max power my stock ECU will handle (HP and TQ wise). I'm going with a new setup and I'm not sure if I need to go with an AMS EMS, or just stick with my stock ECU. My new build should put me close to 1kwhp, what do you guys think? Do you think the stock ECU will handle that much or no?

MAP made 1k hp on the stock ecu, I think I remember another car making over 1k as well. IDk much about the AEM it may be a better option but It has definitly been done on the stock ecu.

Awesome! That's what I was looking for but couldn't find it by searching for a few hours. I will definitely stick with the stock ECU then. I'm hoping for 1k MAX, and about 800ish street. So if they did it already, no need to get the AEM EMS (those are expensive).

The factory Evo ECU will do it, just choose a ROM that has been tweaked to eliminate the airflow and boost limits. That generally means a TephraMod ROM, either v5 or v7.

I am currently running Tephra V7, but I decided to run a Halltech instead of the stock ECU. I just feel more comfortable and so does the few other guys I've talked to, including the one who is going to help me tune my car to my limit.
