Taxtric Cable question????

I'm going to buy a Tactrix cable for tuning my car but I'm confusing about its version.
I found 2.0 version for sell in tactrix website but after some research here, I found some posts saying 1.3u is better.
So, what version should I buy?
Thanks!

.

You can use either 1.3 or 2.0 for Evo 8-9.

Tactrix 1.3u will tune Evo 8-9. Tactrix 2.0 will tune Evo 8-9 AND Evo 10. I don't know which evo you have. If you have an Evo 8 or 9 than just buy the cheapest 1.3 or 2.0 you can find, either one will work. If you have an Evo 10, you can only use the tactrix 2.0.

The different is just that 2.0 can tune X but 1.3U cannot right?

The 1.3u can also do "live map tuning" with evoscan and the 2.0 cannot. You're thinking about this too much though. Just buy the 1.3u for your needs. The 2.0 will not work with evoscan live tuning but it does have a port for a micro SD card so you can datalog without a laptop and that's pretty cool but again as AWD already said twice :P just get the 1.3u and it will do everything you need it to.

The 2.0 can read ACD also (with modification).

However, I tune with the 1.3R most of the time. It's cheaper than the 1.3U and it's exactly the same as the 1.3U minus the cert to flash/read through ECUFlash. You have to read/flash through EvoScan, which for my purposes, is much easier.

Go to EvoScan's comparison page to confirm.

I originally bought an R cable too thinking oh I will save a little money. Dumbest thing I ever did. Pay the $40 for the U cable. New versions of ecuflash will not work with the R cable so that locks you out of all tephra roms too. I eventually bought the 2.0 in addition to my R cable. So now I use the R cable for evoscan and the 2.0 the ecuflash. The 1.3u will do everything that my R cable and my 2.0 do but it will do it with ONE cable.

Why didn't you flash with evoscan? I do hundreds of Evos this way.
