This look like a bad timing map?

Previous owner of my car did basic upgrades and had the car email tuned. Major loss of power up top, 10.5 AFRs at 6000 RPM and even started missing on a Mustang dyno, only made 232/263. Compared my maps to a stock 05 Evo maps and I think they look like **** compared to the stock maps. Any advice what to do here? I was going to tune the fuel out but I dont want to work with a hack job timing map.

Left is stock 05 maps, right is the current maps for my tune.

I'm sorry, I'm not experienced enough to help you here, but I'm curious (and I think others will want to know) to know if you're running 93 or 91?

E: Ah, I'm dumb. I see you're in Ohio so you're probably using 93

Looks like way too much timing around 5000-7500. Were you logging knock during your runs?

Start over from scratch, Too much timing in some places for oct93 and the AFR table is crazy. Looks like he had a seizure when doing that table lol

Yes sir, 93 only. I have meth injection but its disabled for the time being.

YES! 4-5 counts at 4500 rpm, then down to 2-1-0, then back up to 3 at 6500. I didn't log knock when I was using W/M injection but it was hella rich.

Lol thank you, it's not just me. I'm learning Ecuflash/EvoScan still but I had extensive tuning knowledge with MS on my 420A car. I thought the maps looked a little goobered.

Thank you guys for your input it is greatly appreciated. As soon as I get a new 1.3 cable I will flash in the stock maps and try my hand at it.

For sure. Even just the lumpiness of the tables caught my attention. I wish I knew more about this..."tune"... So I could find out how much it was and who did it. Do the other maps indeed look stock or do they look slightly modified? I was reading the "How to tune an Evo" thread and the stated numbers for certain load/rpms didn't match up with what the maps on the left of my pic said. If they are stock ill just import those maps and start tuning again from there with less boost.

Somewhere south of "NOT GOOD"

Put the stock fuel and spark maps back and start re-tuning from there.
The stock spark maps are actually close to what you need for pump fuel for minimum knock.

The stock fuel maps can be leaned out under boost to about 11:1 without messing with the lean-spool settings. 10.8:1 would be a good starting point.
Look at how the stock fuel map tapers from 14.7 thru the 13s and 12s, this is a desirable characteristic so dont eliminate it. Just let it run down to about 10.8 as a starter tune and work from there.

Thank you, I will start over when I get my tactrix back. That was another big red flag, I like smooth transitions and this fuel map has sudden, drastic changes in AFR, the color maps are there for a reason and they are doing a great job showing how abrupt the fueling changes.

The knocking could be caused by too much timing and/or too much fuel in the 4500 rpm / 180 load region. I run an FP Green on RON 91 gas and I'm at 8 degrees at that point in the ignition map with similar bolt-ons. Without more data on actual WBO2, boost or timing in your log, or knowledge of what fuel you are using it is impossible to say.

a wide band is needed. After target AFR is stable, then timing is added from a very conservative point, one place at a time until rpm slopes stop getting steeper (or if knock happens). Usually have to readjust fuel map as more power is made.
