WGDC much lower than table with corrections disabled
I have been trying to bump up the boost on my car but for whatever reason the wgdc isnt following the table accurately.
car is evo9 8859 3d sd rom on 93 octane
Boost error correction is zeroed out
Maf IAT table is untouched from how i downloaded it. the scale is 14-95 f and my iats are 144 so it *should* be at zero adjustment.
attached is a screen shot of my log. it shows zero wgdc correction throughout.
some quick data:
bump.
I have continued to play with this a little and i cannot get the wgdc to match my set table no matter what i disable.
Is this normal or am i overlooking something?
thanks
I am going to say that its normal for the Numbers not to match, But honestly i used PSI Boost control and not LOAD.
While i am no expert, but i think the type of boost controller and Wastegate spring plays a part in this too. the System will then add or subtract corrections meet the target.
I am sure someone else could explain it better....i just woke up and on first cup of coffee.
But here is what mine looked like after Tuned by me.
mine is a ebay tial copy gate, but my underlying problem was unit conversion.
i converted from logging with evoscan and a tablet to standalone logging with the openport 2.0 and had a few hiccups along the way.
now that its working, i like it 1000x better.
Dave so are your duty cycles following now? I had an issue a while back that was coolant temp related. Took me a few to figure it out. Car was running too cold in the winter time up here.
theres a table that tephra added for correcting with cold iats during cold weather, which i was just peeking into but its generally never needed in florida.
Since i got my logging fixed, its been following just fine.
I grabbed a logcfg.txt file for my openport and a bunch of the scaling in it was wrong and i initially made the improper assumption that it was all correct. once i realized what was going on, i went back and had to correct quite a few of the entries. for instance, my 144* iats mentioned in the first post were actually only about 70*
now it all works well, and i even just switched to a 5 bar map since i was flat lining my gm 3 bar.
