Reading high load out of boost

Whats up fellas just flashed a evo 8 with tephra v7.

Stock
+ open dump o2
Aem tru boost
Turbo back exhaust
Intake

Flashed it, runs good.

Data logged it via live map tracer in evo scan 2.9.

Im seeing loads of 300 not even passed 5 psi.

My e85 fp evo 8 barely hits 300 under 30 psi so i know some scaling is off.

Please help. Cheerso

I can rev it at a stop and load shoots up.

The live map tracer goes across the board in load instead of tapering down the map as rpm increases.

It goes straight across the map.

if your logging 1byte load there is a variable that has to match between your rom and evoscan. Its a multiplier. 2 byte to 1 byte load factor. If your using tephra you should log 1byte as its setup for that, not even sure if 2byte would work on tephra without modifying it.

Once again thanks for the tip Biggie.

My evoscan always logs Load1byte and i also log LOAD MUT 2byte Mod.

Anyways this is Rom id 94170715.

I think i might have found the culprit!!!!

I just installed a aem true boost on car today i did a little inspection and found one of the 2 lines on the intake off.

So there is a port for a vaccum line in the intake that is breathing in unmetered air.

Im home now and away from car so ill log again tomorrow.

I stopped the tuning today because of the load issue, and also as stated above i installed in the aem true boost and max boost reached was like 8 psi.

So i thought it was related and didnt wana blow this damn car. "My brothers"

Did some research on aem tru boost issues And came across a old thread here and one of the guys suggested the Tru Boost comes out of the box off and needs to be turned on Hold left button till you see A or B.

Sure enough i held the left button and boom it said RUN then A.

So i might have been doing logs with true boost off.

Hope it takes care of that hiccup.

Keep yall posted.

So i fixed the "unmetered" air on intake and there is no difference

I can sit at a stop and hit the gas and i hit 100 load not even spooling.

I drove around town and saw 300 load at 3400 rpm not even under boost.

Im sure its a scaling issue or something i missed when flashing tephra mod.

Just got home from work and looking through some raw data logs everything im logging seems in order like maf hz timing load1b seems normal and then loadmut2byte is super high and all over the place.

In a certain area im reading 1001 2byte load lol. 3,000 rpm 48% tps and 493 hz airflow

with tephra v7 you only need to log load 1byte (request 41 * multiplier) the point of 1byte is so that you can speed up logging. The ecu transmits data at a set speed, so the less you are logging the faster your data is being updated. Trying to log 2byte and 1byte load at the same time really defeats the purpose of 1byte load.

So i went back out to my garage and started live map tracer logging only 1byte load and now the live cell seems to be logging normal.

My evo on 96530706 logs both 1byte and 2byte mut normal and pretty close to each orher.

This is my brothers car im attempting to tune.

Im on 94170715 and have only ever used 1byte with it. Im not sure what it would do if i tried to log 2byte on it, but i can give it a try tomorrow and see what happens.
