Hi guys, just to get me started can you direct me to what I need to start tuning my Evo 9. Latest software and cables is what I am after, I see some posts with confusion on pin layouts etc so I assume all that's been sorted out now. thanks

Openport 2.0, evoscan, and a wideband are going to be the bare essentials.

yah thats good, you will want to add evoscan to the list as well. While the openport can do stand alone logging you will be much better off logging to a laptop during tuning sessions.

I bought evoscan and didnt like it at all. i use the standalone logging feature of the openport 2.0 and view the logs with megalogviewer hd.
evoscan is handy for clearing codes and doing other diagnostics though.

I use a Tactrix 1.3U logging and flashing cable as well as EvoScan and ECU flash. The nice thing about Evoscan is that it allows you to edit/add data addresses, modify conversion formula's, as well as diagnose and clear trouble codes. It also allows you to feed an external wideband gauge via rs232 into the software to log side by side with the rest of your parameters. That helped the hell outa me.

requires a computer in the car to log, i have the openport2.0 standalone logging figured out really well, its very convenient. i never got the graphing display stuff working right, especially with big logs. I do a lot of filtering/analysis that it just doesnt support very well.
