I don't know a lot about v7 as I'm still on v7, but the v7 roms I've seen did have an ignition retard limit section if I remember rightly

 

I've tried this on a few different roms, 96530706, 96354706, 94172715, 88580714

88580714 was the only successful one where it would register -20* in the logs.

***all bar the 8858 were on JDM evo's. the 8858 was an AUD delivered IX

How does this effect normal driving and , does it pop at low speeds and deceleration
driving around town,,,

 

Don't notice it at all in terms of driveability. Maybe the occasional little pop but it really goes bang when you let off after being hard on the boost. I guess the timing changes before the fuelling has time to reduce properly, so more unburnt fuel gets through. That's my little theory anyway.

Actually i also changed the ALS settings too. Just remembered. I'll post them tables up when I get home. I don't even have the SAS gear anymore but the settings could make it keep the injectors going for longer

It's not true ALS, you can't sit there with it firing like a machine gun, but i couldn't say for sure it applies to you. I actually copied them tables from another (same ID) xml. I can't help more than that im afraid
