Just wondering if anyone is able to elaborate on what ECUunlocker actually changes.

So what I know is that it will find the init key of an ECU that doesn't have a default key. But does it save or change anything on a PC/laptop to remember that key?

Here's the example:
Using laptop 1, I open ECUunlocker and then ECUflash to read a "locked" ECU. Closed ECUflash and restarted the laptop. Opened ECUflash without running ECUunlocker, and ECUflash will now read the ECU.
I use laptop 2 after using laptop 1, open ECUflash and the ECU cannot be read.

So nothing has changed on the ECU, so how can laptop 1 now know what init key to use? Something must have been saved/changed on laptop 1.

I've had some odd issues with ECUflash and what I would consider it's cache of sorts. Data not saving, and saving when not told.

Ultimately, unless you change the hex code to the correct data and save the rom, I don't think it would work on anything but the PC ECUunlocker ran on.
