can i go back to stock timing tables and keep other settings

Evo 4 with evo 7 ecu. Had a T04z turbo, im going to evo 7 turbo, so I want to know, if its possible to feel all other settings and easily revert timing and fuel tables to stock to have a better starting point to road tune the car.

Looks like you are still using MAF even on T04Z. So you can swap to the evo 7 turbo and just run it.

If you want to reset everything to stock, at least set the injectors settings back. Looks like you have 835cc injectors.

My concern was the high timing in the areas where the to4z was not making boost, now the stock turbo will be making boost

it goes by load....... which is calculated by the MAF

so if the t04z was not making boost, it is the same as the stock turbo not making boost
if stock turbo is boosting 1.5 bar maybe it would be the same as if the t04z was boosting 1 bar, it would be reading that 240 (?) load cell for timing

i get it. i just checked my ignition map with stock evo 8 map and noticed that in areas like 240kpa x 5000rpm im running as much as 7 degrees more timing than stock. i think its important to note that im running watermeth that comes in 100% at 15psi, so this may be the reason for the high timing. so i should keep map and gradually increase boost and see how the car responds?

Meth is tricky as it is something that the ECU does not see. If your tune is taking into account the WMI then even your fuel maps could be out as you might be running richer now in the lower load area that the WMI didn't used to spray.
(ie. used to spray at 15 psi on t04z, maybe 240 load but now 15 psi on stock turbo is only 180 load)

Also, the X axis is load in another unit, not really kpa unless you are running SD.

As you now have a stock turbo I would put everything to stock and tune the meth integration all over.

Ok so I'm finally got all the mechanical stuff sorted, had a delay as my transfer case went. So I got Evo 8 fuel and timing maps flashed, when comparing maf settings I observed some small differences in the table(my maf is Evo 8). I was going to set the table to stock Evo 8, but I was wondering if the changes was tied to the hks 272 cams. If I revert everything to stock, outside of tuning the idle, how do I tune the cams at other load points?
