error sending kernel size

I'm getting an error trying to read the transmission rom from my ECU, I have successfully read the engine rom but when I switch my boot pin on to TCU pin of the 12 pin diag connector I get the below info in ecuflash:

From looking at the Car Hackers handbook 0x10 means the ECU has entered diagnostics instead of preforming a remote reset 0x11

If so either I'm doing something wrong or it is locked/ or reading is not supported with ecuflash.
