Idle help? 3D SD

Hey fellas I have a 2.3 gt30 evo 8 on tephra v7 3d. The car has always idled poorly on open loop startup . with the maf it would dip and stall on CL. Since converting to SD this thing is an animal . trims are great , drives smoother and the hit in the middle when boost comes on is fantastic but I have to babysit it for like 40 seconds when I start it up. If I watch my wideband it is pegged lean until CL then only fuel trims a couple of points. I have fiddled with the VE map , startup fueling , etc. I have not done my BISS but this seems like an obvious fueling issue as it idles so smooth in CL. Any insights?

does the ecu still look at the maf table on post startup?

You said you messed with the startup fueling, what about the warm up fueling tables?

I don't have my laptop in front of me(work) but I do believe I did as well. theyre the table labeled in temp vs unknown units correct? I would assume %. Many of the tables seem numb in this area

They are called "IPW Multiplier vs. Coolant temp" in this thread.

my 94172715 rom doesnt have those particular tables defined as far as I can tell but I did find that I had way too much timing at idle and that maf scaling adjustments are making a difference. Hard to tell though on constant restarting.

your rom is a derivative of 94170015, the addresses should be the same as that rom. You can verify by putting in the XML for that ROM ID into your XML and checking the values that are displayed in your ROM.

Thanks a lot biggie. I'm having pretty good luck with oddly enough maf scaling. And I know I've seen those defined if this doesn't work I'll insert in the XML

one more Q. I know when I use hptuners on gm stuff I have to clear the fuel trims before I tune open loop or it will skew my error %. Is that also the case with evo viiis?

Yes trims will effect the final output so it's a good idea to clear them after making changes.
