Evo maps, Magna?

Hey guys! Looking to flash 2002 Magna with mods. New to this, don’t know about different speed gears, or turbo vs non. Will evo maps from say evo scan, ect work on Magna?

My bad. There’s one map on evoscan. I’ll have a look at some of the maps on here first.

Ok. I have some evo maps 7 through 9. I can see I won’t be reflashing my car with these. Looks to me an evo funtions in a completely different way. Unless I just replace the fuel and timing maps on my car with those parts from one of the evo maps. Does anyone have any advice on this. Are there other little changes that would need to be made. I have exhaust upgrades and performance air filter.

The Magna ROMs are designed for NA use only - while it is possible to use one with a mild turbo setup they are missing a lot of the turbo-only functionality present in the Evo ROMs. Nor can you use the Evo ROMs in a Magna V6 as the Evo ROMs only have spark management for 4 cylinders and the Magna has no knock sensor. Without custom pistons, more than about 7psi of boost is likely to leave you with cooked pistons and other internal failures.

For 91RON fuel the factory Magna 6G74 mapping is quite good and there isn't much power to be had in map adjustment (even with 98RON fuel) - you really need better camshafts (hard to come by ) to make significant improvements - or a 6G75 (380) conversion (which is arguably a better option).

There are Ralliart 6G74 and USDM 2001-04 Diamante ROMs (which have knock sensor support and high/low octane maps) about that you can look at.

No worries, thanks. It is better to know these things. I have some ideas about some solutions for maps.
